Free Dinner for Veterans

Several times a year, Courage & Sacrifice partners with Sal’s Place in North Massapequa, NY to offer free dinner and drinks to Veterans and up to three guests. Tickets sell out right away, and the night is always a hit with the Veteran community.

The most recent dinner on April 6, 2022 was no exception. The room was filled with Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and the War on Terror.

Courage & Sacrifice Vice President Jeff Elie spoke to the room of Veterans — thanking them for their service and explaining some of the ways our organization has helped injured combat veterans over the years.

Afterward, the Amityville Highland Pipe Band performed for the crowd. Their repertoire included songs for each branch of the military, and the Veterans in the room stood when they heard their branch’s anthem. Finally, several local politicians stopped in to express their gratitude to the men and women who fought for our freedom.
